Anchor & Hearts Cake

This cake is an 8inch red velvet with vanilla buttercream frosting. The decorations are made from vanilla fondant. This is a remake of another cake. The customer sent me a picture of an anchor cake & wanted her cake to look just like it.

Karen

Thank you to everyone that has donated & prayed for my little cousin Karen. It means so much to the Olvera/Davila family. Please continue to pray for Karen's family. Please continue to donate. The family needs as much help as possible in these tough times.

This morning Karen went home to be with our heavenly father. She began battling with Ewing Sarcoma (bone cancer) at the young age of 14. Karen is now cancer free and healthy in the lord's comforting arms today.
I'm going to miss her so much. She was a very special girl & God knew that. She never let the cancer win. She had so much faith even when she was diagnosed. She knew God's greater plan for her life. Karen was so strong! I look up to her in so many ways. Karen has taught me so much about keeping faith and being courageous. She fulfilled her purpose on earth, to spread God's message and love to everyone.

This isn't goodbye! I will miss you so much little cousin...so much! I'll always cherish the memories I had with you. You're not in pain anymore. I wonder what you're doing up there right now. I hope you knew how much you were loved down here, sweet girl. I thank God for blessing us with you. I love you always!

Brown & Pink Rose Cake

I was asked to make a cake like the one I posted a couple months ago. Instead of purple like I did last time, I made the roses pink and the strip & lettering brown. The cake is chocolate with strawberry filling in the middle & vanilla buttercream frosting.

Jungle Animal Cupcakes

My adorable baby cousin Gaby had her 2nd birthday this sunday! My cousins asked me to make her sixty jungle cupcakes for the party. There are twenty chocolate, twenty vanilla and twenty strawberry cupcakes with vanilla frosting. I used fondant to make the animal faces. I made monkeys, hippos, elephants, giraffes, and lions. Most of the kids reached for the monkeys first so I can safely say that was the favorite, but my favorite face was the elephants.

Domino Birthday Cake

This cake is a full sheet cake so it's really huge and heavy! It's half pineapple and half strawberry with vanilla buttercream frosting. The only fondant on this cake is the writing and domino tiles.

Coffee Mug Cake

This is a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. I carved the mug shape out of three 6inch round pans. All the decorations are made out of fondant & the "coffee" is actually chocolate candy melts. The lines on the mug and handle is made from yellow fondant painted with ivory food coloring to give it the Café look. The spoon is made from fondant & the board is covered in a blanket of green fondant and it's supposed to look cloth like.

Sprite Can Cake

I made this cake to look like a can of Sprite. It's a super small cake that only feeds two people at most. It's a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting. It's covered with fondant and there's pipping gel on the side to look like spilt Sprite. I used my air brush again to make the blue and green on the fondant. I'm getting better at using that machine!

Red Power Ranger Bust Cake

Happy Birthday!!! I made this power ranger bust cake on Sunday for my boyfriend's 19th birthday! He liked power rangers when he was little so I decided to have him relive those days by making him this cake. It's a red velvet cake with buttercream frosting inside and covering the entire cake. I didn't cover this cake with fondant. Instead I smoothed out some buttercream all over the cake and air brushed it with red food coloring. Although, I did use some fondant to make the white triangles, eyes and mouth. This cake had a lot of trial and error especially since it is my first time air brushing a cake. It didn't come out quite as I envisioned, but that's expected since I'm a beginner with the air brush and covering in only buttercream. The cake turned out good &  I'm so glad Joel liked it!

Nike Jordan Shoe Cake

I was asked to make this Jordan shoe cake for a customer's little brother. The cake is a marble cake (vanilla cake with chocolate swirls). In between each layer is vanilla buttercream frosting. I made this cake out of a few rectangle cakes stacked onto each other and just sculpted out the shape of a shoe. The decorations are all fondant! I'm super happy with how this cake came out looking! & I'm also happy the customer liked the cake! Yay!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cake

I made this cake for my cousin's god son's birthday! The bottom tier is a chocolate cake decorated as a pizza, the second tier is a vanilla cake decorated as a city, and the top tier is vanilla cake decorated as a sewer hole that the ninja turtles come out of. It is all decorated out of fondant...even the ninja turtles are fondant. I'm really happy with how this cake turned out!
This is the first tier of the cake. I really liked the way it looked as a pizza. The middle isn't covered as much as the sides of the cake, because I was going to top it with the second city tier. The white cheese is actually white chocolate I shredded with a cheese grater.
